Roman Religion

Christianity conquered Rome because it had no moral compass. But the Romans were very religious and ritualistic.
Looking at Rome before Christianity came in, Rome was a sacrificial society. There were various deities that they were to sacrifice to, on certain days and times and specific instructions on how to sacrifice. It was not about ethics or morality.
