Should I Date A Godly Person Even If My Intentions Are Not to Marry?

Perusing as a friend can be deceptive, especially when the other person has zero interest in going further than friendship. Both parties must have the intention of marriage when they decide to see each other. It should be the intention of a Christian that desires to spend time with someone of the opposite sex. If it's not leading to that then it's time to stop the relationship.

A friend and I decided to stop hanging out together to prevent gossip and unintended feelings. We are both married now but don't feel the need to keep in touch in respect to our marriages. That's normal even for my wife and her past male friends. It's a good way to protect your marriage and relationship with your spouse.

I specifically only make friends with other couples with my wife and I never would spend time alone with someone else's wife. As a married person there is danger in befriending a single person of the opposite sex.
